I am fascinated by the transformation of discarded materials into forms mimicking the naturally occurring patterns and shapes of nature. I explore the rhythms of waters movement, the decay and change inherent in the natural world by using thrown away materials such as cardboard, plastics, old books , wood and beach drift.
Alongside the more abstracted forms that result I have been making sculpture recently exploring local wildlife by using waste.
By using recycled and locally sourced materials I hope to comment at a deeper level on our amassed debris and waste affecting our environment .
